Pool Heating

If you don't want to spend a fortune heating your pool but still want to enjoy warm water, you might be a good candidate for a solar pool system.

But how does a solar pool system work? Essentially it consists of three main elements:

  1. solar collectors (usually installed on the roof, nearby structure and/or ground)
  2. solar controller
  3. all necessary piping

The system is designed to utilize your pool's existing filtration pump and works by pumping water through collectors. The water in the collectors is heated by energy from the sun and then returned to your pool. The solar controller automatically monitors this function when solar energy is available and keeps the water at the desired  temperature.

It is a very reliable, long-lasting and efficient system that will save you thousands of dollars on traditional gas heating! The solar collectors we use in our systems are lightweight and made from a specially formulated polymer designed to withstand extreme exposure to weather, ultraviolet rays and oxidation. They are very long  lasting, with a proven life expectancy in excess of 20 years and are  impervious to pool chemicals.

You might also be interested to know that traditional pool pumps are notorious energy hogs. In fact, it's not unusual for a pump to consume as much energy as all other home appliances combined. We are proud to  offer a high performance pump that will reduce your energy consumption by 30-90% a year!
